SAC; Sustainable Apparel Coalition; Supply chain; Sustainability

Mistra Future Fashion joins the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), and its members which are collectively committed to improving supply chain sustainability in the apparel and footwear industries. Mistra Future Fashion will contribute to the Higg Index, which gauges environmental sustainability and drives supply chain decision-making to better efficiency and sustainability impact.

SAC’s efforts to make the fashion industry’s supply chain more sustainable, go hand in hand with Mistra Future Fashion’s vision and its research. With this membership,  the research can actively support Higg Index, in a relevant global forum and in return gain new understanding for further research.

“We welcome the addition of Mistra Future Fashion to the Coalition, and look forward to their participation in this industry-wide effort in sustainability, “ said Coalition CEO Jason Kibbey. “Having Mistra Future Fashion as part of the Coalition widens the scope of our impact within the apparel industry and accelerates the change we’re making towards responsible industry actions.”

There are currently over 170 members of the SAC, the majority of which are global brands and retailers including: adidas, C&A, Gap, H&M, Kohl’s, Levi’s, Macy’s, Nike, Puma, REI, Target, and VF Corporation.
