On the 19-21 of May, the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in Sarajevo held the Nordic Fashion Days, leveraging fashion and the sustainability focus that comes out of this region. An exhibition was launched showcasing great fashion designs from Sweden by Swedish Institute. Opening ceremony with Minister of trade where Mistra Future Fashion was invited and Sigrid Barnekow was one of the leading speakers on sustainable fashion. Together with Tone Tobiasson, the editor of NICE.org Barnekow also led a workshop to designers, local companies and students. The discussion was concerning the environmental impacts of the production and consumption systems, and local production possibilities, fundamentals of circular economy and ideas for transforming the current fashion system.
