Dr. Kate Goldsworthy was interviewed by the Pro-Activists at the Rethink Fashion event in June. Discussing circular design Goldsworthy explained that it, for her, means to have an understanding for materials and products as journeys, not just as objects. They have a history from where they came and how we’ve obtained them. Further she highlights the importance of designers as they need to design for the products future story, how they end up and being retained. In order to transform the system, Goldsworthy explained how we might be changing how the economy works as well as current business models.
