June 5-6 the World Circular Economic Forum was arranged in Helsinki by Finnish Sitra and enabled global experts, practitioners and politicans to meet on circular economy. In the session Collective impact for sustainable consumption Mistra Future Fashion was part in the stakeholder engagement around sustainable lifestyles. By exemplifying with fashion consumption program director Sigrid Barnekow led one of the table discussions on how to extend lifetime of products and increase reuse of textiles, nudge consumers to choose sustainable alternatives like pre-owned garments, leasing, renting, swapping, repair services, redesign services, and how to promote progression of new business models.
