March 30th 2017 the Fashion for Good initiative was globally launched in Amsterdam. The new initiative seeks to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and circular apparel industry by supporting the scale of those technologies, methodologies and business models that have the potential to transform the industry. It is also an industry-wide call for collaboration to transform the apparel industry at a gathering of innovators, fashion and sustainability thought leaders.

As a holistic and inclusive open-source initiative, Fashion for Good invites the global fashion industry to reimagine how fashion is designed, made, worn and reused. It promotes five “Goods” of a new, transformed fashion industry: Good Materials, Good Economy, Good Energy, Good Water, and Good Lives. In pursuit of this goal, it aims to enable the fashion industry to embrace innovation, change its business models and adopt a totally new mindset.

Mistra Future Fashion is partner to the Fashion for Good initiative as the initiative share the same vision of transformation of the apparel industry and Mistra Future Fashion is supporting with research knowledge and expertise in the initiative network.
