Oct 20th, at the Global Fashion Conference at Stockholm University, Dr Kate Goldsworthy was  author of paper from Mistra Future Fashion, though presented by program director Sigrid Barnekow. The paper is about circular fashion, ie towards new models for systemic change in the fashion and textile industry. Making clothes (Materials) last longer, (based upon current research), explores a range of approaches for a more sustainable fashion industry. It presents multiple and connected design strategies, from long-life proposals: mendable, transformable, adaptable garments; to short-life proposals: disposable, compostable, recoverable and re-manufacture-able features.

The paper will be available here.
